11/01/2018 A small steppe animal can bring no less positive emotions than a cat or dog. Unfortunately, the lifespan of a hamster is not that long. However, there are nuances of maintenance and care that can significantly increase the life expectancy of a pet.

Description of Djungarian hamsters

Djungarian hamsters are small animals.
Their average length is 10 cm, and their weight is about 70 g. In most cases, they are brownish-gray rodents. Their distinctive feature is a black stripe along the entire back. The animals have a sharp muzzle and small ears. The tail is short, like all hamsters, slightly pubescent. The belly and inside of the ears are light, almost white.

In nature, with the onset of winter, their color changes: rodents become light gray and silver. In summer they turn brownish again.

These are playful and curious animals. They willingly run, climb into different places and can climb too high. This cannot be allowed, because... Rodents do not feel heights and may fall.

The long life of the dwarf is in your hands!

A good owner, through his efforts, ensures a long life for the hamster. All you need is to show attention and care. We sincerely hope that you take responsibility for those you have tamed and do not perceive the Djungarian hamster as a toy.
