Dog show in Yekaterinburg: schedule for 2022

Yekaterinburg is a Russian city, the administrative center of the Ural Federal District and the Sverdlovsk Region. If you decide to take part in a dog show in Yekaterinburg or look at show dogs, we suggest choosing a date for your visit on our website. Here we have compiled the 2022 dog show schedule.

Dog shows have ranks

Dog show in Yekaterinburg: schedule for 2022

January 7-8, 2022 Ekaterinburg: 2 CAC (Black Sea Fleet and ChRKF) + 25 MONO

My “judging year 2021” started on January 7-8 with a wonderful exhibition in Yekaterinburg, which I want to talk about in this essay.

Many thanks to the head of the PO KOSO “Terra” club, Alexander Murzin, for the invitation. We met him in 2022, when I judged at an exhibition of another Yekaterinburg club, and Alexander simultaneously held his own canine event. Even then, I noticed that at the exhibition, where Alexander acted as an organizer, everything was very clear, professional and beautiful. The dog breeders of the Urals are lucky to have such a person - he sincerely cares about his business and gives his 100%. I was glad to receive an invitation to work at the exhibition of the NGO KOSO "Terra" at the beginning of 2022. I really love judging in the Urals; this region always has interesting events, strong competition, decent dogs and sincere people. And this time the organization was beyond praise. For several weeks before the exhibition, Alexander was constantly in touch, responded to emails almost instantly, and all my requests according to the schedule were fully taken into account. The exhibition took place in a huge and luxurious expo center; not every CACIB takes place in such premises. Large spacious rings, ideal teams, in two days I worked with two ring teams, I didn’t have a single comment about any employee, everyone worked quickly, clearly and very friendly, conducting an examination in such a team is a real pleasure. And what a prize fund! Chic cups, beautiful sockets, kitchen appliances and even a SNOWMOBILE!!! And this is in the midst of a pandemic, when at many of our exhibitions they are trying to cut the budget so much that they are giving out cups the size of a little finger and rosettes made from toilet papers... I am really impressed with the work the organizers of the show have done, and with all my heart I wish this club to take on hosting CACIBs in the Urals, they will definitely succeed.

This time I really liked the judging panel; Oksana Gachina, Alexey Belkin, Stanislav Gorodilov and Evgeniy Lepekha worked at the exhibition. On the first day of work, I had 1.5 hours of free time between mono beagles and retrievers, I admired the work of my colleagues, everything was so clear, professional and logical. Goldens and Labradors have the same dogs for mono (my expertise) and all-breed (expert Oksana Gachina) BOB, I am very pleased that our opinions coincided.

Well, now I’ll move on to the ring results.

MONO BEAGLE

On January 7th I judged a special breed beagle show. Dogs from Yekaterinburg, Kirov, Kurgan, Nizhnevartovsk and Chelyabinsk were presented. In general, the stock was pleasant, I gave, if I’m not mistaken, only three very good, and in two cases for excessive timidity in the ring.

Best Male Junior - Valsi Franklin (Valsi Notting Hill + Valsi Cesarina)

Best Male of Breed – Hotti-Totti Nick Glint Star (Simonaland Bonacure + Hotti-Totti Uma Flowers Clip)

Best Veteran of Breed, BOS - Lanbur Present Chance at Hotti Totti (Lanbur Court and Spark + Lanbur Jakie Song) - 12.5 year old male veteran, incredibly touching and happy to be in the ring. In excellent condition for his age, thanks for the applause to the veteran.

Best Junior Bitch, Best Junior of Breed - Hotti-Totti Ru Main (Varinhouse Avibus Bonis + Hotti-Totti Oh So Quit) - a very pedigree junior female, compact, strong, solid - Best Junior of Breed both in mono and all-breed. At the Junior Best, in a strong and numerous competition, I became the Best Junior of the first day of the exhibition, congratulations from the bottom of my heart!

Best Bitch of Breed, Best of Breed – Simonaland Riviera (Szephegyi-Szimat Virgong + Simonaland Panda) – 2.5 year old female with all breed advantages, very feminine, in excellent condition, with good muscles, perfectly presented

MONO GOLDEN RETRIEVERS

Not only the organizers of the exhibition themselves, but also local enthusiasts of the breed took part in the preparation of mono goldens; as a result, the prize fund was absolutely bombastic. The most beautiful breed rosettes, cups from Oksana Kudryavtseva, toys and many amenities. This is how a breed celebration should be. The dogs were traditionally strong, there were goldens, which I had already met in the ring several times, I was glad to see them again.

Best Junior Male, Best Junior of Breed - Grand Gold Family Theo Joy (Grand Gold Family Prime + Grand Gold Family Sabrina. In 2019, my LUP was a female from the same kennel, and from the same father. Interesting coincidence.

Res.LKP - Kibelline Amon Ra Son of Sun (Kibelline Archibald Rising Sun + Kibelline Barberry Bright Gold) - a compact, strong male with a rich golden color, in excellent shape. Repeated the result of 2022 and again became Res.LCP

Best Male of the Breed - Salandaterra Mister X For Stolitsy Urala (Jackpot Noroy Du Plessy + Glitters Miss Salandaterra) - a luxurious 5-year-old male with a very noble, courageous, but not rough head, beautiful anatomy, very stylish and pedigree. His daughter became LSP on mono.

Best Male Veteran, Best Veteran of Breed, Best Representative of Breed - Saffron (Harry) from the Capital of the Urals (French Boy De la Cite Des Etangs + Yasmina Star from the Capital of the Urals) - I have repeatedly had the pleasure of judging the magnificent Harry for several years. At some exhibitions he won classes, in Perm in 2022 he was my BOB, I always really liked him. Now Shafran from SU has joined the ranks of veterans, but is in excellent shape, and I think he will shine in the rings for a long time. A bright, bold, showy male who stands out in the ring. This time it was difficult for me to choose the BOB, because... my main winner female is also a worthy representative of the breed, but I really love veterans and understand how much work owners put into maintaining their shape, so this time the main mono winner was Harry. Thank you so much for showing it.

Res.Best Bitch of Breed - Amansi Demetra Multiplay Cybele Dynasty (Giltedge Braveheart + Jungle Fever of Amansi De la Cite Des Etangs) - I first judged this girl in 2022, when she received the title of Best Baby, and even then I predicted an excellent show for her career. I'm glad that my prophecy came true, Demeter exhibits a lot and wins consistently. On this mono she became open class CW and Res.LSP, I will watch her further show achievements with interest.

Best Bitch of the Breed - Vanilla from the Capital of the Urals (Salandaterra Mister X For Stolitsy Urala + Nostalgia from the Capital of the Urals) - in 2019, this feminine, charming, absolutely harmonious bitch was my BOB at a large special breed in Yekaterinburg. Now she has blossomed even more, she looks marvelous, I was incredibly pleased to watch her in the ring, she became my BOB, and as I wrote above, my choice of BOB this time was difficult.

Best Bitch Veteran - Shaula Amber from the Capital of the Urals (French Boy De La Cite Des Etangs + Yasmina Star from the Capital of the Urals) - this time a brother and sister performed in the veteran classes, both are very beautiful and quite similar, you can feel the kinship. I admired both veterans, but Harry won in terms of movements. His sister is the Best Veteran Bitch.

MONO LABRADOR

Dogs from Glazov, Yekaterinburg, Izhevsk, Kirov, Nizhny Tagil, Novosibirsk, Novouralsk, Sukhoi Log, Tomsk and Chelyabinsk were presented. Some nursery owners 100% go under my expertise, when I judge in the Urals, someone decided to go under me for the first time. The number of participants was quite large for our “Covid” times, it was interesting to judge. Many thanks to everyone who was interested in my opinion.

The livestock varied in type and quality. Unfortunately, one of my favorites backed away from me and showed distrust, so he did not take the position that I had originally planned to give him. Some dogs were not in the best condition. I have written to quite a few people about their shortcomings about excessive dampness. I noticed that this time in the ring there were several Labradors with completely flat paws and crooked, loose fingers. This drawback, unfortunately, is fixed in some lines of Labradors and is “removed” with great difficulty. I ask breeders to pay attention to this, such paws are very striking and look atypical. Many Labradors didn't have fur, but I didn't really care about that. I hope the Ural frosts will help them acquire a decent “fur coat.” Also in the ring there were several overly squat dogs with short forearms. But the main winners were very good.

Best Baby of the Breed - Hotti-Totti Onest Max (Hotti-Totti Bow Forward + Hotti-Totti Charming Hotshot) - an absolutely charming black baby, his head is just a dream, 100% classic Labrador head. Ideal coat, excellent joint angles, super temperament. It will be very interesting to see him in the future.

Best Junior Male, Best Junior of Breed - Farvist Gold Mad Boy (Farvist Gold Visible Success + Tramin Magura) - wide, bony, very wooly fawn male with excellent temperament

Best Male of Breed, Best Representative of Breed - Bravo Messi (West Sib Story Idaho + Lab'SPb Rende-Woo) - it was unexpected, but pleasant to meet “Tomian” Messi in Yekaterinburg. In excellent shape, as always, courageous and passionate in the ring, perfectly shown. Became a BOB in both mono and all-breed. I received another BIG in my “star piggy bank”.

Best Veteran Male, Best Veteran of Breed - Aralez Just Chance (Tiger Paws Herbu Zadora + Vanilla Tequila Li Vrem) - 9.5 year old black male veteran. This boy has become a symbol of Ural shows for me, I judged him 9 years ago during my first trip to Yekaterinburg, then he became Best Baby, and since then we meet in the ring from time to time, many thanks to Katya Shamgulova for shows my favorite. Still as cheerful, cheerful and handsome. A true Labrador from the tip of his nose to the tip of his otter tail. I gladly gave him the title of Best Veteran of Breed

Best Junior Bitch - Lab'SPb Dream For Marie (Lab'SPb Ringmaster For Mary + Lab'SPb Fantasia) - medium size, correct format, harmonious and very feminine fawn female, fully consistent with her age, without dampness or exaggeration. I was glad to see Maria Sidorova's dogs live; if I'm not mistaken, she brought her team for my examination for the first time. The dogs are very worthy, perfectly shown and demonstrated excellent breed temperament.

Best Bitch of Breed - Hotti-Totti Athena Better All (Hotti-Totti Look Forward + Hotti-Totti Tar Brush) - in 2022, this wonderful chocolate was my LUP, during this time she matured, but remained just as good - strong, feminine, with a beautiful topline, excellent tail set, pedigree coat, productive and effective movements. Best Bitch of Breed

Hotty-Totty BBC (Mambrinos Nose For News + Hotty-Totty Beatrice Let's Hope) – in 2022 she was my BOB, at the moment she just came out of maternity leave (her daughter Hotty-Totty Cherry Pie became my Best Bitch Baby), so she was not in top shape. The head, of course, remained perfect, but I need to work on my condition and shape, but I’m sure everything will be fine. This time second in the NKP champion class

Res.Best Bitch of Breed - Tesoro Russo Aquarelle (Nipntuck Happiness + Aralez Janile Etoile) - also met this high-quality and pedigree fawn female in the ring many times, thank you for showing me again.

Best Veteran Bitch - Hotty-Totty West Real Coat (Stanways Limpopo + Hotty-Totty Axiom All Wright) - and another regular participant in my examinations in the Urals entered the veteran ring. I really like the type of this bitch, she won my class in Ozersk, became second for BOB in Yekaterinburg. And now she’s a veteran, but very youthful, cheerful, and moving beautifully. I sincerely wish her long life and good health and congratulate her on the title of Best Veteran Bitch.

Also on January 7th I judged Tollers and Flats in the all-breed competition.

There were four flats, and they were all wonderfully good.

Retline Polygon is LCP, and his gorgeous mother Bersifieur Villarosa is LSP. Christmas tree from the Capital of the Urals – Res.LSP. Well, for the first time I saw a fantastically beautiful male Lusso Angelo Principe in the ring, he became my best male, best, best, best, and at the BIG competition on the first day he became second for Bravo Messi.

There were two Tollers: brother and sister Lorevy Easy Step and Lorevy Era Whymaker's Infinity Ocean, BOB was a girl.

On the second day I judged the CEC and Basenji special breed shows, as well as the Akita and Clumber breeds within the CAC. I will write about them more briefly, because... Time is running out, we need to go and clear out all sorts of things that have accumulated.

I liked the older Husky dogs more than the young ones.

I gave the BOB to a female from the open class Snezhny Vernissage Ursula (W-Wizard Valar of Winners Valley + Snezhny Vernissage Persia) from Tyumen - in excellent condition, well-haired, nice bitch. In comparison to the Best SES mono, she became third.

The Samoyed BOB was awarded to the female Arctic Friend Shining Mechta (Joy of Life Golden Ticket + Smiling Snowbol Full Moon) from Irbit: harmonious, compact, strong and perfectly presented.

Well, in Malamutes I was absolutely fascinated by the veteran male Sudden Impulse Del Biagio from Yekaterinburg: in excellent shape, very courageous, but not rude, with a beautiful head, super-boned, rich hair. I admired him yesterday in the veteran Bests. So, without hesitation, I gave him the BOB, and he became the Best Dog of Best CEC.

The Basenji BOB became a red and white male Arcana Africana Dastan Prince of Persia from Perm, graceful, but at the same time muscular, with a beautiful head of excellent proportions, excellent movements and a huge sense of self-esteem. His full sister Arcana Africana Delah Thoris became LSP.

At the main Best, I judged the Best in Group-VIII competition, which included five beautiful representatives of the breed: an American Cocker Spaniel, a Golden Retriever, a Clumber Spaniel, a Labrador Retriever and a Flat-Coated Retriever. My top three looked like this:

3rd place – American cocker

2nd place – Labrador retriever

1st place – the magnificent straight-haired retriever Jerzy from the Capital of the Urals, who was shown very worthy by the owner, and not by a professional handler. Hedgehogs are a wonderful representative of the breed, stylish, elegant with a pedigree head, excellent coat quality and spectacular movements. I am very happy for the flat, which became Res.Best in Show under the expertise of Oksana Gachina! It was very beautiful.

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to come to the exhibition in the midst of the New Year. I was glad to see everyone! For the main winners, the retrievers, there is a traditional gift from me - personalities on the RRC website, send materials to those who do not yet have pages.

Good luck and health in 2022! And see you again!
