Brit Care dog food: reviews, composition analysis, price

Many puppy owners strive from the very first days of their baby’s life in their home to choose the healthiest diet for him. Some owners immediately prefer to choose hypoallergenic food for their puppy, as they want to prevent possible allergic reactions. The Brit Care food line includes just such a product - Brit Care Puppy All Breed Lamb & Rice dry food.

Let's see whether its characteristics correspond to the real composition and what place in the ranking the analysis of the basis will “lead” it to.

We look at the “main” Brit products

The first ingredient of this food is lamb flour, there is quite a lot of it here - as much as 45%. It is a good source of animal protein, but is the only true meat component of this food. There are no raw, let alone fresh meat and fish ingredients in the diet.

Ingredient No. 2 is rice, it contains 30%. The grains in the food are not healthy for dogs, but at least rice is the only source of carbohydrates and vegetable protein. As a review of the composition of Brit Care Puppy All Breed Lamb & Rice shows, there are no other grain additives here.

The manufacturer indicated the proportions of the main components of the product. It can be seen from them that the basis of the diet is precisely its first two components, therefore the evaluation of the Brit Kea Pappy food with lamb and rice was carried out only on these first two ingredients, which is logical, since there are incomparably fewer other ingredients here.

Manufacturer information

The production of Brit food takes place at the family concern Brit Pet Food and is divided into two lines - Brit Premium in blue packages (considered a little worse in quality) and Brit Care in white packages (belongs to super-premium and is more loved by dog breeders).

The brand’s feed goes through the production process “from start to finish” at the Czech factories Vaho Praha.

The concern has been operating since 1994 and in 2016 became the best Czech brand. Today Brit supplies its products to more than 60 countries around the world.

The production process itself is classified, the veil of secrecy is revealed only on the official website of the manufacturer www.brit-petfood.com:

  • All brand foods are certified in accordance with high quality standards;
  • During production and new developments, clinical trials on animals are not conducted;
  • The company's products do not contain soy and GMOs;
  • The composition does not contain products that can harm animals;
  • The company's products consist entirely of natural ingredients that are easily absorbed by pets.

From this information we can conclude that the food contains no hidden dyes, flavors or other harmful substances that could adversely affect the health of dogs.

What else is interesting in the composition?

As fat sources for this product, the manufacturer chose chicken fat preserved with tocopherol (No. 3 in the composition) and 3% salmon fish oil (No. 5 in the composition). These are quite decent ingredients.

We did not find any isolated fiber in this diet, but there is a dried apple - a source of pectin that is beneficial for digestion.

In addition to vitamin and mineral balancing components, the composition contains several other beneficial additives. We found two sources of valuable substances for joints: hydrolyzed crustacean shells (a source of glucosamine) and cartilage extract (a source of chondroitin).

It’s good that the manufacturer indicated the exact amounts of additives - you can count on their dosage in Brit Care Puppy to actually “work” for the benefit of the puppies’ body. They are especially important for large breed puppies - and this diet is intended for them, too.

Superior Care dog food - reviews

Nature's Protection dry and wet foods are quite common, but the Superior Care line is much less common on pet store shelves. Therefore, there are few reviews about it on the Internet; below we have shared a few of the ones we found.

I bought Superior Care White Dig Junior, Small breeds dry food (for young dogs of small breeds with white hair). The food is good, without a strong odor. The granules are small and suited my Bichon Frize. The puppy is 5 months old, we tried many types of food before, but didn’t want to eat it. There are no shortcomings in the food yet.

Hello! I have been taking this dry food (Superior Care White Dogs Small&Mini Breeds) and wet food for a year now. I have a Shih Tzu with a white muzzle, which always had a reddish coating on it from previous foods, and I was advised to take this food so that this coating would go away !

My dog is very picky about food, Royal Canin generally did not eat well. When I tried this food, I was pleasantly shocked that my Chuck started eating it without even sniffing it! We usually sniff for about 10 minutes. This is a very good sign! I highly recommend this company for any type of food!
