IMPORTANT!! IF YOU BOUGHT A PUPPY AND WANT HIM BACK There are some bad statistics. About 20% of people try to return the puppy to the breeder within days of purchase! Why is this happening? For different reasons. Some experience an allergic reaction, others are simply not ready for the responsibility and do not realize the seriousness of having a new family member in the house. Often, new owners complain: the puppy does not wear a diaper! The puppy chews on everything! The puppy screams all night and doesn't let me sleep! And some say directly - we changed our minds and want to return it. A puppy is the same as a child. The moment you picked him up, crossed the threshold, and the breeder's door closed behind you - you took responsibility for this baby's life! Now this is your child, 100%! The baby needs care and love. He wants to eat, pee, poop, play, etc. and so on. Yes, it is a living creature, with a unique character and natural needs. Like children, they also need to be educated. If a puppy, for example, does not wear a diaper, teach him. This is a normal process of raising a child. The puppy most likely knows how to walk in a diaper, but due to stress and a change of place of residence, he is confused. Help him! There are various methods on how to accustom him to the tray (diaper), stop him from gnawing on everything and not disturb his sleep at night. It might be quite a hassle. What exactly were you waiting for? Buy a hassle-free toy that you can put on the windowsill and play with whenever your heart desires? If you are really not ready for responsibility, for you a puppy is troublesome and unbearable, and you realized all this only after the puppy lived at your home, there is a way out! You can contact the breeder and explain the situation. The breeder will decide what to do, trying to help you. Probably, the breeder will not be able to accept the puppy back, since he has unvaccinated puppies at home and the appearance of a puppy that has been away from home is very dangerous for their health. In this case, the breeder will offer you assistance in the further resale of this puppy. It is logical that the puppy will stay with you until a new family is found for it. Refund. The breeder does not issue refunds, since a puppy is not a product that can be returned if it “doesn’t fit.” The breeder, at one time, invested a lot of effort and money in raising healthy offspring. Therefore, if for some reason you abandoned the puppy, it is your choice. This is not the breeder's fault. The only reason a breeder is obligated to return money is if they sold a deliberately sick puppy. Within three days after purchasing a puppy, you have the right to have it examined by a licensed veterinarian and, having received a written report with a wet seal from the clinic, contact the breeder for a refund, provided that the report states that the puppy was sick at the time of sale. If the puppy gets sick while with you, naturally, the breeder doesn’t owe you anything. Think carefully before purchasing an animal! Remember, puppies are not for rent!

For questions about reserving puppies, please call the numbers listed in the Contacts section.

Character

The Italian greyhound, or small Italian greyhound, is a very gentle and intelligent dog, which is distinguished by an extremely balanced character and love for its owner. The Italian Greyhound is so loyal to a person that she will always listen carefully to him and try to please, so you need to be extremely careful in raising her. Raised tone, shouting and rudeness can ruin a dog’s psyche. In addition, representatives of this breed can be shy and even timid; you need to find an approach to them.

It is believed that Italian Greyhounds are very susceptible to the lifestyle of their owner. This is why the Italian Greyhound is an ideal companion dog for both single people and families; for both active and calm people. The Italian greyhound will adapt to the rules established in the house and will not break them. In general, this is an extremely obedient dog. However, even she needs to be educated, but this should be done gently, trying not to harm the subtle mental organization of this animal.

Despite some cowardice, the Italian Greyhound cannot be called helpless. This dog, although not entirely suitable for the role of a protector due to its size, may well be an excellent watchman who will sound the alarm in time. In Italy, these dogs have long been used as hunting assistants.

The Italian Greyhound behaves extremely cautiously with other animals and cannot always easily find a common language. But a well-bred and trained Italian greyhound socializes quickly enough. By the way, this breed is not easy to train; the owner will have to be patient. However, with the right approach, even a beginner can do this. You should never raise your voice at a dog or use physical force. Italian Greyhounds are very sensitive, and even a close look into the eyes sometimes has too strong an effect on the puppy, so you should resort to this method only in extreme cases.

The Italian Greyhound quickly finds mutual understanding with children, communicates and plays with pleasure. At the same time, you should be careful not to allow your dog near children under the age of 7 years, as they can injure the fragile animal.

Description of the breed

A graceful, slender dog with short shiny hair. Greyhounds are distinguished by their ascetic physique, characteristic of representatives of the greyhound group.

The forelimbs of purebred individuals are dry in structure, and birth is strictly vertical. The hind legs of Italian Greyhounds should be straight and graceful.

The tail is set low, straight at the base, with a noticeable curvature towards the tip. The hair evenly covers the head and body, very short, not rough, soft and pleasant to the touch.

Size

The height of adults is 33-38 cm.

Adults weigh 3.5-6 kg.

The color should be uniform; the presence of white spots is acceptable (but not desirable). The shade of the coat should be in harmony with the animal's skin.
